My awesome family bought me half a day of drift training. The driving school appears to use NB MX5s (or Miatas for you Muricans). So in a few months I'll be sliding around in an MX5 learning to drift.
What did you guys end up with?

Both me and my family are experiencing some pretty meager times right now so while we had some small gift exchanges it really was more about spending time with each other than anything else.
I got to visit my mom and stepfather in Panama City Beach, which was nice.

I can respect that, a bit part of Christmas is spending time with family.

that's awesome!
I got a repair manual, a cassette/aux adapter, and cash towards a new windshield for the mr2, some craftsman tools (socket extension set, screwdriver set to replace my harbor freight ones), Forza Horizon 2 for the 360, a stocking full of Hot Wheels, and a bunch of 1:18 scale cars, including this sexy Lancia 037

Damn that 037 is nice. I got some tools too, just a cheapish socket set but an upgrade over my extremely cheap previous set. Most of my other car related stuff was fairly dull but useful, a winter kit I needed (screenwash de-icer, scrapers etc) and some heavy duty floormats.

A box of Celebrations and a rechargeable AA kit. This is probably the first Christmas where I got exactly what I wanted. I'm tired of exchanging things because I either have it already or it doesn't fit.

I've been studying for my mock exams.
And I got a Kindle. Which is nice.

A while ago I stopped caring about gifts and material things. Now I just worry about making time for family. Didn't happen this year as my parents were only able to make it for three days (and I only got to see them for one of those). And with a little Oppo on the way in June I know my time of being a single spoiled child at Christmas is coming to an end next year. Haha.

That sucks, I just got started on some coursework today.
Kindles are great (I have a nook but same thing). I got mine since my uni release notes in PDF form and I can save them all on the nook.
